ELECTRIC OVENS. Which one to choose?

Static Electric Ovens – FEP and Ecopower

Electric ovens FEP and Ecopower are static deck ovens, designed and manufactured with integrated baking chambers and steam generators. They are built as a single structural unit, characterized by high thermal mass, ensuring stability throughout all baking phases.

Modular ovens, on the other hand, consist of independent stacked chambers, each assembled separately and then positioned one on top of the other. This configuration makes them more suitable for less intensive use and lower production capacities.

The main difference does not concern the size of the bread, but rather the oven’s ability to sustain repeated baking cycles:
• the greater the oven mass, the higher the stability during loading;
• a higher thermal mass results in longer heating times, but ensures consistent temperature during production, minimizing fluctuations between cycles.

In summary:
• a modular oven is suitable for limited use, a few hours per day;
• a static oven is designed for continuous operation throughout the entire production shift.

Indicative weight data (dimensions 120×120, 4 decks):
• Ecopower: 2,100 kg
• FEP: 1,900 kg
• Modular: 1,140 kg

The ECOPOWER electric oven represents the evolution of the FEP model.
It has been enhanced in terms of materials, steam generator configuration, and insulation thickness, achieving an increase in thermal mass of approximately 30% compared to FEP.

The key difference between the two models lies in the baking control system:
• FEP uses an electromechanical system with contactors operating in ON/OFF mode;
• ECOPOWER adopts the SBS (Smart Baking System), based on PLC control and pulse regulation using PID logic, ensuring more precise, responsive, and modulated control of power and temperature.

From a maintenance perspective:
• FEP features side-installed heating elements, requiring lateral access for servicing;
• ECOPOWER is equipped with front-access heating elements, allowing maintenance from the front or top and enabling full use of lateral space.

ECOPOWER – Power Consumption

• Required power: 3 to 4 kW per m²
• Average consumption: approximately 2 kW per m²
• Steam generator power to be added separately

SBS – Smart Baking System

The SBS revolution: perfect baking with minimum consumption

No waste, only results.
High-precision performance with zero unnecessary energy consumption.

How it works
The Smart Baking System (SBS) redefines energy efficiency through:
Pulse Technology – eliminates power peaks while maintaining optimized average consumption throughout the baking cycle;
Dynamic Adaptation – uses only the strictly necessary energy, adjusting in real time:
– required power (up to 40% less compared to traditional ovens);
– electrical load (reduced amperage consumption).

Key benefits
• Energy savings – eliminates waste by perfectly synchronizing with baking phases;
• Simplified connectivity – requires lower-capacity electrical lines;
• Excellent stability – maintains temperature with high precision.

Why choose SBS
Ideal for:
• bakeries or facilities with limited available power;
• companies focused on sustainability;
• multiple installations, reducing the overall connected load.
